Description

Since the first power station was constructed, there has been an eventual need to retire units. Yet, the process has changed over the years. Environmental rules are stricter today than in days of yore, and units are often much larger and have more "stuff" than they used to. Nuclear plants include even more challenges than the average and decommissioning can takes decades. This session will touch on some decommissioning best practices and provide examples of sites that have managed the process successfully.
